LONG ACTION AICS BOTTOM METAL
Engineered for the Tikka T3 / T3x
Purpose-built to bring 3.715" AICS-pattern magazine compatibility to the Tikka platform without modifying the action or feed ramps.
We relocated the magazine release lever from the front of the bottom metal to the trigger guard, and the extended length design allows for an overall cartridge length (OAL) of 3.50" to feed without having to modify your rifle's action or feed ramps.
STOCK FITMENT & COMPATABILITY
The RedSnake nEXTgen Long Action AICS Bottom Metal is designed for Tikka T3 / T3x rifles and shares the external footprint of the factory T3x bottom metal.
Compatible with factory T3x stocks and aftermarket stocks utilizing the factory T3x inlet. Minor modification to the interior magazine-well area of factory stocks is required for proper fitment.
Select McMillan and Manners Composite Stocks are available with a dedicated RedSnake bottom metal inlet for true drop-in installation.
No modification to the action, trigger housing, or feed ramps is required.

Hunter — Low-profile configuration with a recessed magazine release lever integrated into the trigger guard for secure magazine retention and clean hunting-rifle ergonomics.
Tactical — Features an exposed, paddle-style magazine release lever for faster, more accessible magazine changes.
Both configurations share the same magazine compatibility, fitment, construction, and core RedSnake geometry.

- Installs using factory action screws (or RedSnake nEXTgen Action Screws)
- Factory magazine retention spring removal recommended
- No modification to the action or trigger housing is necessary

Will this fit my factory stock?
YES. The RedSnake nEXTgen AICS Bottom Metal shares the same external footprint as the factory Tikka T3x stock. However, factory stocks do require minor internal modifications to allow the AICS magazine well to fit within the stock. See our Installation Page for more information.
What magazines work with the RedSnake Bottom Metal?
Both the Hunter and Tactical models of RedSnake nEXTgen AICS Bottom Metal is compatible with 3.715" AICS-pattern Long Action magazines.
What is the longest OAL that can feed with the RedSnake LA Bottom Metal
Due to length limitations of the Tikka action receiver, the longest OAL that can feed from AICS magazines is 3.500" even though the external length of the magazine is 3.715"
Will the RedSnake bottom metal fit my aftermarket stock?
Beginning in mid 2026, select McMillan and Manners Composite Stocks are available with a dedicated RedSnake bottom metal inlet for a true drop-in installation. Other aftermarket stocks may require minor internal modification to accommodate the longer (LA) or wider (SA) magazine well.
